Scope of Coverage

• Only covers defects in materials (e.g., gutter material failing) and installation issues.
• Only covers specific components (gutters, downspouts); not leaf guards, fascia/soffit, etc.
• Excludes cosmetic issues like minor dents or scratches.

Damage Excluded

• Damage from storms, hail, high winds, falling branches, ice dams, or other “acts of God.”
• Damage caused by animals, pests, or birds.
• Damage from ladders leaning on gutters, roof work, or other trades.

Maintenance Requirements

• Warranty limited if gutters aren’t cleaned regularly (e.g., once or twice a year) or if “proper maintenance” can’t be proven.
• Exclusion for clogs due to leaves, needles, and debris.

Improper Use / Alterations

• Void if homeowner modifies the gutters (hanging things on gutters, adding caulk, painting; paint may void fade warranty).
• Void if roof is replaced and gutters are disturbed by another contractor.

Conditions Related to the Home

• Excludes problems caused by structural issues, settling or shifting of the house, or rotted fascia.
• Coverage is limited if the roof or fascia isn’t in good condition at the time of install.

Limitations on Remedies

• Only repair (not replace) at the company’s discretion.
• Only covers the gutter work itself, not any resulting water damage to siding, foundation, landscaping, or interior.
• Capped dollar amount or “up to original purchase price” limit.

Time and Transferability Limits

• Requires claims to be filed within a short time after discovering a problem.

Geographic / Weather-Related Exclusions

• Exclusions if installation is in extreme mountain areas, snow, or ice-prone areas beyond “normal” weather expectations.
• Limits on coverage if the property is surrounded by heavy tree cover causing chronic debris buildup.
